About our club

Based in mid Derbyshire, UK, the car club was founded in 1997 by our first Chairman (and now President) Ken Bayliss and a group of classic car enthusiast friends, to be known as Ashbourne Classic Enthusiasts (ACE). Ownership of a classic is not mandatory; as the name implies, this is a club for enthusiasts and owners of classic cars & bikes.

Since the early days, the club has evolved to accept members with a mix of older and more modern vehicles, some of which are destined to become classics.

ACE is a social club, whose members have a shared interest in classic vehicles, with monthly meetups at a pub for lunch, three planned runs to places of interest each year (Spring, Summer and Autumn) and a three to four day trip away at a suitable hotel either UK or abroad. We aim to have designated parking areas at our chosen venues, so that members of the public who are interested in the cars can view them.

We also hold an AGM and an annual party/ dinner, and sometimes summer parties, barbecues etc.

We welcome members from the whole Midlands region as well as from Derbyshire. Membership is currently £10 per couple, annually.
